Description
Nice early custard glass master berry bowl made by Northwood between 1899 and 1904. This bowl is made in the Chrysanthemum Spring pattern. Features celery green arches and gilt edged scallop rim with running embossed garlands. Each side displays three highly detailed chrysanthemums, four leaves, one flower just beginning to open and two flower bus that are all linked together. The gold on the leaves and flowers appears to be intact with minimal fading to the stems or vines. There is wear to the gold trim on scalloped top rim. Signed "Northwood" in script on underside of base. Stands approximately 5" tall x 10 1/2" long x 8" deep.
