    WHEN CORK IS KING
    , "NEW CROSSFIRE CONVERSATIONS, END GAGS AND RETORTS FOR MALE, FEMALE AND MIXED MINSTRELS; MONOLOGUES, SKITS, AND STUMP SPEECHES", 116+ Page First Edition Hardcover Ex Lib Book by Wade Stratton measures approximately 4-3/4" x 7-3/8".  A plate is affixed to front of book featuring title, publisher and illustration of an old minstrel.  The book is intended to be a guide for those involved in the production of minstrel shows.  Also of historical note are eleven pages at the back of the book descriptively listing many publications from Denison categorized as follows: How to Stage a Minstrel Show; Denison's Black-Face Series (42 total); and, Denison's Vaudeville Sketches (25 total).
    Cleveland Public Library stampings appear on the front cover, title page, &tc., with labels and pocket part inside the back cover.
    The book was copyright 1921 by T. S. Denison & Company, Publishers, Chicago, and though unmarked is likely a First Edition.

    is in Good Ex Lib Condition for its Considerable Age, with cover wear, tear and discoloration; old staple in first page; and corner creasing or pencil markings on a limited number of pages noted from many years of past storage, and as noted.  Please see accompanying photographs.
