    Inscription to “DEAR MR. DAVIS AND MS. DEE” [Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee] from the staff and faculty at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School in Cambridge, MA, dated March 6, 1989, on the inside front cover of “Black Women - Achievement Against the Odds – A Calendar for 1984-86”, wirebound, 6-1/2” x 9”, pages unnumbered/about 75 pages, monthly calendars on right-hand pages with photographs and illustrations of famous and notable Black women going with the respective months on the facing pages, the calendar was published by GMG Publishing, New York, NY, in conjunction with a Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES), the inscription to Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee with 10 names of the Massachusetts school’s faculty and staff underneath it printed in ink taking up the entire reverse side of the front cover reads in part, “We have loved you and your work and the positive role models which you portray…”;

    light horizontal line across front cover at about the middle, otherwise the inscribed calendar is fine.
