This €20 silver coin is in high relief. It highlights the intricately detailed design in a relief 10 times greater than that of an ordinary strike. This is the First High relief 1 oz 0.999 fine silver coin issued by the Mint of Monnaie de Paris.  It looks amazing. You have to see it  to enjoy it.  Although there are so many Mona Lisa coins around, but this one is really standing OUT.  And this coin is the only Mona Lisa coin that carries the official stamp “Chefs d’oeuvre des Musées” (Masterpieces of the Museums).
Monnaie de Paris is celebrating the several centuries of pictorial art in France by unveiling a series that pays tribute to the masterpieces of French museums.
The obverse shows Leonardo da Vinci's famous masterpiece, the Mona Lisa, and, in the background, the portrait’s frame with the name of the masterpiece, “La Joconde”, and the name of the artist, “Leonard de Vinci”. At the top on the left, “500 ans” (500 years) evokes the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci's death in 2019. The stamp “Chefs d’oeuvre des Musées” (Masterpieces of the Museums) has been added on the right side.
The reverse is common to the series. It depicts several views of many major French museums. An interior view of the Musée d’Orsay, on the top left, is recognizable by its distinctive clock. Beside that is a view of the façade of the Louvre as seen from the Napoleon courtyard where the pyramid is located. Below these two elements, a fresco shows the Hôtel Salé, which houses the Picasso Museum. The lower portion of the reverse side features a view of the façade of Hôtel Biron, the current Rodin Museum, and above, the famous Centre Pompidou stairway.
