    Description

Offered for sale is a wonderful antique EAPG covered butter dish manufactured by the Northwood Glass Co. between 1899-1904.  The butter dish is in the Chrysanthemum Sprig pattern which features embossed flower and leaf designs accented in gold gilt around the outside of lid.  There is also a swag of geometric patterns with floral rosettes at the tip of each swag above the flower and leaf design.  The base has four scroll feet covered in gold gilt and the edge resembles the shape of flower petals.  Overall the butter dish stands about 6" tall and it measures about 7 3/4".
The overall condition of the butter dish is excellent.  There are no chips, cracks, or damaged areas to note other than a few tiny fleabites and flakes to the underside rim of the base.  The pattern details are crisp and the colors are wonderful with little loss.  Both the interior and exterior are clean with minimal scratches to note.  The base has a slight wobble as made.
