Vintage (3) Piece Lot
A very sweet and pretty lot. The gold tone rose is the Giovanni piece - very light weight - finish is in good condition. The ribbon style brooch is really nice -

all stones are paste. It is a very lovely design with simulated pearls and opalescent rhinestones. The stem like cut-work is a nice touch. The rhinestones are not crystal so don't expect that they will have the sparkly that crystal would have. I would describe the rhinestones as pearlescent - they are all present as are the tiny simulated pearls which are in good condition. The double strand, simulated pearl necklace is approximately 16 3/4" and very pretty. The pearl beads are in good condition. It has a feature that I haven't seen before - it comes to a 'V' at the center front. I really like the way it makes the necklace look. The end caps and fold over closure finishes are in good condition.

**I would like to point out one thing about any paste costume jewelry that is 50 plus years old. If you have not purchased it before I advise that you check the stones from time to time to make sure they are all secure. I think it is too much to expect from any glue to hold every stone in place for 50 to 60 years. Hollycraft, for example, would paste and prong set rhinestones in the same setting quite often so checking to make sure that your rhinestones are secure is a good practice to get into so as not to lose one of these well preserved stones.
