    Description

This is a vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the popular 1960's thriller/crime drama,
    DEAD RINGER
, released in 1964 by Warner Bros. and
    directed by Paul Henreid
. Bette Davis plays the dual role of a working-class twin sister of a callous, wealthy woman who impulsively murders her out of revenge and assumes her identity. But impersonating her dead twin is more complicated and risky than she anticipated.
As indicated in the center of the
    bottom
border, this is lobby card #4 from the set of 8 cards. The image features an exterior shot of
    Bette Davis
in one of her two incarnations as she reacts from being slapped by Tony Collins (
    Peter Lawford
) as police Sgt. Jim Hobbson (
    Karl Malden
) tries to pull the irate man away from her. It is unrestored in fine condition with random signs of wear in the borders. and some light scuff's on Malden's jacket and pants. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the rich color tints are fresh and
vibrant without any signs of fading.
The original script was written in 1944 and sat on the shelf at Warner Brothers until 1963 when at long last it was finally in production.
This was Jean Hagen's final film before her death on August 29, 1977 at the age of 54.
