Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card #3from the classic 1960's comedy/drama romance,
SEND ME NO FLOWERS
, released in 1964 by Universal Pictures and
directed by Norman Jewison
. Based upon the play by Norman Barasch and Carroll Moore, and featuring a screenplay by Julius Epstein, at one of his many visits to his doctor, hypochondriac George Kimball mistakes a dying man's diagnosis for his own and believes he only has about two more weeks to live. Wanting to take care of his wife Judy, he doesn't tell her and tries to find her a new husband. When he finally does tell her, she quickly finds out he's not dying at all (while he doesn't) and she believes it's just a lame excuse to hide an affair, so she decides to leave him. The cast includes Rock Hudson, Doris Day, Tony Randall, Hal March, Paul Lynde, Edward Andrews, Patricia Barry, and Clint Walker.
The image features a publicity shot of Judy (
Doris Day
) and
George (
Rock Hudson
) wearing a pink and blue sweater, respectively, as they glance at
each
other
. The border artwork features a second image of the famous screen pairing along with cast member
Tony Randall
. As indicated in the center of the bottom border, this is lobby card #3 from the set of 8 cards. It is unrestored in good- condition only with creases and a scotch tape stain in the top border; random signs of wear in the side borders; a Canadian censor stamp in the lower background area; one pinhole in the green background area and one in the bottom border; and a 1 in. semi-circular shaped paper lift in the bottom border near the left side of the pink credits background. There are no tears, stains, or other flaws and the color tints are fresh and bright without any signs of fading.
